Robbov Vodnjak Fountain Stylized

This fountain stands at the centre of the city, in front of town hall, in the centre of town square, in the centre of Ljubljana, and thus Slovenia.

Ta vodnjak stoji v središču mesta, pred mestno hišo, v središču mestnega trga, v središču Ljubljane in s tem Slovenije. Zasnoval ga je Francesco Robba in končal leta 1751. Gradnja je skoraj končala Robbo, saj je bila tako draga. Znan je kot vodnjak treh kranjskih rek - Save, Krke in Ljubljanice.

Designed by Francesco Robba and finished in 1751. The construction nearly finished Robba as it was so expensive. It is known as the fountain of the three Carniolan rivers - the Sava, Krka and Ljubljanica.

Fashioned after the famous fountain of the four rivers, in Rome, by Bernini.

Oblikovan po Berninijevem znamenitem vodnjaku štirih rek v Rimu. Vodnjak, ki stoji danes, je replika. Izvirnik je od leta 2008 varno na ogled v Narodni galeriji. Idealno za otroške sobe. In za odrasle, ki so odraščali na Tintinu.

The fountain that stands today is a replica. The original is safely on display in the National Gallery of Slovenia, since 2008.
